Rum Shack

The Rum Shack was born out of the Royal wedding weekend last year.
I'm not the worlds biggest fan of Royalty nor media hysteria so the event drove me crazy.

Woke up one morning wishing I'd left the country and thought of my favourite Caribbean white sand beaches and sitting at a bar stool under palm trees sipping at Rum cocktails.

Alas we can't always be where we want to be. Then the brainwave hit, I'll bring the Caribbean here to Sunny York.

So spent the rest of the Royal wedding bank holiday weekend stripping down the wrecked mouse infested filthy shed. Cleaning, decluttering and painting..

The end result pictured below.
Mainly used as a gardening shed but contains basic cooking equipment, barbecue, tableware and from time to time the odd drink or two.

Now I'm often to be found weeding the allotment sitting on the step of the shack with a beer, granted, not a very effective weeding method but who cares?
